This unit uses the Adobe Flash programming language (ActionScript 3.0) and the context of game development to introduce students to key foundation concepts of using an object-oriented programming language.
Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, and are provided with four opportunities to receive feedback on their understanding and skill demonstration through 'mini-assignments'. These are designed to focus on key elements being assessed in the 'major' assignment to determine how well students have met the 3 Learning Outcomes.
